Jennifer Gordon, Ph.D., heard the call to become a Jungian Analyst at the age of 20. After earning her B.S. in Psychology from Stanford University, an M.A. in Education from U.C. Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, Jenny attended the C.G. Jung Institute of Zurich, Switzerland, in 1990. In 1996, with her diploma in hand, she returned to her hometown of Eugene, Oregon, and has been in private practice ever since.

Over the years, Dr. Gordon’s interest in the body/mind connection has persisted. Her doctoral research, in the mid-1980’s, focused on the topic of Living with AIDS. Post-analytical training, she was awarded a grant from the Susan Bach Foundation to study Living with Interstitial CystitisWith the understanding that clinical symptoms carry physical and psychological significance, Dr. Gordon advocates an integrative model of health that cares for the whole person.

A perennial student, Dr. Gordon enjoys teaching others about analytical psychology through providing formal seminars, workshops and lectures. She has shared her knowledge with audiences in Eugene, OR, Dallas, TX, and at the C.G. Jung Institute of Zurich. Topics of interest include fairytales, dreams, Sandplay, music-as-a-living symbol and analytical psychology’s contribution to our understanding of climate change.

Primarily, Dr. Gordon facilitates one’s connection to the healing tendency of the psyche through dream analysis and sandplay. As the process unfolds, answers are found, distress abates, and integrity changes from a possibility to a reality.
